Destiny 2 elemental burn

An elemental burn is a status effect that can be inflicted on enemies in Destiny 2. The burn will deal damage over time to the enemy, and can be inflicted by using an elemental weapon against an enemy who is weak to that element. For example, using a solar weapon against an enemy who is weak to fire will inflict the “burn” status effect.

Where can you get elemental weapons in Destiny 2

Elemental weapons in Destiny 2 are only available in the expansion pass. If you have not purchased the Destiny 2 expansion pass, then you will only be able to use non-elemental weapons when playing through the game's campaign or when replaying old missions. You are also unable to buy elemental weapons from a vendor or an NPC. Elemental weapons can only be acquired as a reward from various activities.

Why do I want to use a weapon with an elemental burn

In Destiny 2, you can tell if your weapon has an elemental burn by looking at the weapon’s stats. The burn will be listed as one of the following: “burn”, “frost”, “arc” or “void”. If you use an elemental weapon with the appropriate elemental burn, it will inflict more damage on your enemy. You can also stack this effect to make it last longer.

Elemental burns and how they work in game

In Destiny 2, elemental burns are a status effect that can be inflicted on enemies in combat. In order to inflict an elemental burn on your enemy, you need to use an elemental weapon against an enemy who is weak to that element.

The only way you can get elemental weapons in Destiny 2 is through buying the expansion pass or completing activities like certain missions or strikes. You also cannot get elemental weapons from NPCs or vendors in the game, so be on the lookout for any activities that can reward you with them!

Doing damage with your weapon while inflicting an elemental burn will increase how long it lasts. To do this, stack your weapon’s effects by using another one of the same element when the burn is about to expire. Once you do this, the burn effect will briefly reset and then begin dealing damage again.

How much damage does an elemental burn deal in Destiny 2

The amount of damage that an enemy takes from an elemental burn depends on the element that it is inflicted with. For example, solar weapons inflict more damage than void or arc weapons because enemies are weak to solar. So, it makes sense that the elemental burn will deal more damage the higher your enemy is in health. If an enemy has a high amount of health, then don’t be afraid to stack your weapon by using another one of the same element when you inflict an elemental burn on them!
